Fibreglass dog pod cracked, scuffed, faded, or fitting needs adjusting? We repair, refinish and re-fit pods at the workshop. Wooden pod that's swelling, splitting or growing mould? Read on — there's a better answer than another patch job.
If your pod is built from fibreglass — ours or someone else's — most damage is repairable. Same techniques used on boats and surfboards.
Sanded back, re-laminated with fresh glass cloth and resin, then re-coated and matched to your existing colour.
Cut, polish or full re-coat depending on the depth. We can refresh a sun-faded pod back to factory finish.
Replace worn or chewed padding, refresh fabric covers, deep-clean the inside.
Re-bonded or replaced safely so your dog stays clipped in.
Scratched, hazed or cracked — we replace the panel and re-seal the frame.
Switched scooters? We can re-mount the pod to your new bike's rack with fresh hardware.
Add mesh panels or extra airflow if your dog's been overheating in the existing setup.
Tired of your pod's colour? Full re-coat in any colour you want, matt or gloss.
Honest answer about wood pods
It's not that we can't. It's that we won't take your money for a fix that we already know will fail again within months.
A fresh build in hand-laid fibreglass, sized exactly to your dog and fitted to your existing bike rack. Same shape, same colour if you want, but built from a material that survives Bali long-term.
Send Dharma a photo of your wood pod — he'll give you a straight answer on whether a rebuild makes sense, and quote a fresh fibreglass build sized to your dog and bike.

Yes — we repair fibreglass dog pods and dog carriers built by us or by other makers. Common repairs: cracks, dings, gel-coat damage, padding, harness anchors, drainage, re-fit to a new bike.
No. Bali's tropical climate continues to rot the timber from the inside out, so any patch we do will fail again within months. We don't take money for fixes we know won't last. The right answer is a fresh build in fibreglass — happy to quote that for you.
Once plywood has absorbed moisture and started to delaminate, swell or grow mould, surface repairs are cosmetic only. The wood underneath keeps breaking down. It's an honesty thing — we'd rather not take your money for that.
Depends entirely on the damage. Small chips and gel-coat scratches can be done for a fraction of a new pod. Larger structural work or a full re-finish costs more. Send Dharma photos on WhatsApp for an estimate.
Most fibreglass repairs are 2–4 days. Full rebuilds are 4–7 days on average — same as a new build.
If it's fibreglass — yes. If it's wood or plywood (regardless of who built it) — no, for the reasons above.
